Quick Branding Tip: Keep It Simple

Photo of an art print with black ink on white paper that reads "keep life simple."

As in life, less is more in marketing. When you have too many messages/colors/styles/(fill in the blank), it can be hard for your customers to understand what you're REALLY saying. The consequence of this is that they often fail to connect with your brand in a meaningful way (i.e., by making a purchase), and you're left wondering why the sales aren't there.

Cut out the fluff (extra words), and get to the point. Be specific about what you do, how you help your customers, and what you want your customers to do. In other words, keep it simple! This is one of those strategies that takes practice, so keep at it until you find the right mix of words that connect with your target audience.

This print was made at Maker13 with Harperism Design Co. and Level Up Louisville.
